Wakibu Bunnya
Co-founder
Having been raised from one of the most underprivileged slums in Kampala, Wakibu believes that no other child or youth should go through the challenges of growing up in a slum and has therefore dedicated his time and abilities to becoming a model for leadership and an agent of change for young people. Since 2008 Wakibu has been working directly with youth focused organizations in diverse fields ranging from fundraising, formal debate training/facilitation, organizational management, community organizing, youth events planning and policy analysis.
In 2009 Wakibu founded Open Space Centre where he currently oversees various youth programs as the Team Leader. Also a member of the Young Leaders Think Tank for Policy Alternatives, Wakibu regularly comments and contributes to youth policy discourse in various fields.
Wakibu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Land and Engineering Surveying from Makerere University.
